Chicago born, Kenny Lloyd, multi-talented Songwriter and Producer, currently creates alongside such talent as Swizz Beatz, Snoop Dogg, and Cassidy. Kenny studied Engineering at Full Sail University graduating top of his class. His first professional experience was working under veteran engineers, Rich Keller and Tony Drootin at Sony Studios, NYC. During his 5 years at Sony, Kenny engineered and/or produced such prestige as the Miles Davis “The Complete on the Corner Sessions”, Lyfe Jennings “The Phoenix”, Gucci Mane “Back to the Trap House” among others.

 

Sadly, Sony Studios closed their Manhattan doors in 2007, Mr. Lloyd went on to open his own space inside the legendary, Samurai Studios Brooklyn. Kenny has since gone on to earn European Gold Record Status for his work with Prince Kay One of Germany and been part countless chart-topping American hits within the hip-hop, pop, and R&B genres.

 

Currently, Mr. Lloyd owns, operates, and creates his own solo work out of MG Studios in New Jersey. The space boasts a live room, three vocal rental booths, and of course access to work with Kenny himself.

 

2019 was a very exciting year for Kenny proving him to be a quadruple threat artist/engineer adding Film and Television work to his resume. Kenny wrapped musical scoring and engineering with Swizz Beatz for ABC’s new Scripted Drama “Godfather’s of Harlem”, starring Forest Whitaker which won and Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Design.

 

Kenny Lloyd’s 3rd solo project, EP “Shrooms’Up” was released January 2019 followed by “Layers” released in the Summer of same year.

 

In 2020 he received a gold plaque for working on Kay One's "Rich Kidz" album which surpassed over 1Mil in sales along with two other RIAA Gold Certification for the Album PHOENIX and the single SEX by Life Jennings.

In March 2022, Kenny released "From the Ground Up - Vol 1"  a compilation album where he is working with many talented artists from the East Coast, Midwest and Europe.

He is currently working with The Godfather of Harlem's team finishing season 3 alongside Swizz Beatz and the whole production team.
